A decision tool, not a travel site
ElsewhereMath is built around three questions: where could you afford to live, what would your financial life actually look like there, and what would it take to visit, relocate, or eventually retire there? Travel is the first step in that chain, not the whole identity. This is not a booking site, not a visa service, and not a moving company.
Who it is for
People planning a move, a retirement abroad, remote work from another country, or a scouting trip that might turn into a move. The calculators are for salary earners in this release. Pension, remote-income, family, and ownership cases are not yet built, and are listed as future work on the methodology page.
What it does, in one line each
- Move guides: compare take-home pay, rent, and other costs between a US origin city and a destination, and estimate the income needed to preserve your current monthly spending cushion.
- Visa and trip guides: state entry rules for one passport to one destination, with fees, stay periods, and validity where known, plus a scouting-trip budget.
- Homepage tools: editable estimators that use your own inputs only. They do not pull verified rent or tax data, so use the guide pages for dated, sourced ranges.
Its limits, stated plainly
Coverage in this release is 10 move pairs and 10 passport routes, all move origins in the US. Figures are dated 24 October 2026 and are ranges, not quotes. Other living costs in the move calculators are editable examples only, not sourced prices. Entry rules change, sometimes quickly, so check the official government link on each guide page before you book, apply, or move. Nothing here is tax, legal, or immigration advice, and nothing here is a job offer or a guarantee that a salary or a visa is available to you.
